We had pre-arranged a day at the Iberostar Rose Hall, with private transportation through Juta tours. For $70.00 per person, we received round trip transportaion, a full day at the Iberostar's lovely Rose Hall Resort, which included all of our food and drinks, as well as access to all the resort's amenities. Everything was great, and we all had a wonderful time.

We visited Paradise Beach (on our own, not through an excursion) on our recent cruise, and had a fantastic time. The beach is beautiful, the pool and bathrooms are very clean and the food/service is wonderful. Although it is very inexpensive ($2 for entry, plus an additional $12 if you want to use the beach slides and trampolines), the grounds are so beautiful that you will feel like you are in a 5 star resort! Although you don't have to pay the additional $12.00 for the beach slides, etc., I highly recommend them, as our entire group had a blast playing on the trampoline, the iceberg and the slides for hours.
The menu at the beach club is pretty extensive, is reasonably priced, and the servings are both generous and delicious. Our waiter/attendant, Enrique, was very attentive, and directed us to the perfect spot for both the sun and shade lovers in our group. He also told us that the bar allows each guest 15 minutes of free internet on the bar computer, which is something that is not generally advertised.
Cab fare from the cruise port should run no more than $5.00 per person each way including a tip, and taxis are readily available for your return trip as you exit the beach club.
Paradise Beach was a fun, relaxing way to spend the day, and much less expensive than booking an excursion though the cruise lines.
