Port Rating:
We have been to this port a few times in the last few months so decided to just wander the area closest to the port. All in reasonable walking time and distance Lots of shops, restaurants and a small market makes for interesting wandering. Also most coffee houses offer free WIFI, something we take advantage of due high cost on board.

We had been here 2 months ago on another cruise, so knew the area fairly well. The town, which seems to be one big market, is about 100m from the ship. We wandered about the market, had a fresh fruit juice, used the free WIFI, and then back to the ship. There are a few beaches not far from the port, and no doubt bargains in the market for those that look.

The harbor in Channa ia a 20 minute bus ride from the port. Special shuttle buses are laid on for the ship at a cost of EUR 3 per person return. The bus stops in the center of the city, at the market, and a few minutes walk from there is the city center, mostly pedestrian only. The town seems to be one large market with so much color! We visited the local Synagogue, which was the highlight of our visit there. Once again we availed ourselves of free WIFI at one of the sidewalk cafes, although on return to the ship we were told that the whole city is covered by free WIFI.
