Beautiful beach! It was a great day to hang at the beach, do some activities the ship organized... they provided a beach bbq for everyone. Water was wonderful. Bring a camera. You can stand on the beach and the ship in the background. Great photo op.
Did the sail away. Wonderful trip! Great crew, made new friends. Drank rum punch/champagne/beer on the way back. Snorkeling was excellent in St Johns. Saw turtles, sting rays, tons of fish. Nice beach to relax on if you don't want to snorkel the entire time.
We went to El Morro. Walked there from the ship on our own. Then through town on the way back. Stopped at shops, got a bite to eat and a drink. Old San Juan is pretty. You can stop at the chamber of commerce and get a map of the town. Also the Frommers website has self guided tours of san juan if you want to print out a map ahead of time.
We did the Reefs and Rays tour. This was fantastic! Snorkeled over a beautiful reef and then went and to an area with tons of rays. Got to hold them and one gave me a kiss. Worth the $$ to go on this excursion!
