King's Wharf is a nice port; love the Glassworks and Clayworks at the dockyard. Try the Frog and Onion pub at the dockyard! Ferries and buses are great, and Bermudians are always friendly and helpful. You don't need cruise excursions to do Bermuda -- do it yourself!
Also, don't spend your first day in Hamilton. That is the biggest mistake I hear from first timers to Bermuda. Hamilton is the financial district/city. Not much for tourists. Instead, go to St. Georges.
Also -- take the ferry whenever possible. Buses take FOREVER on Bermuda because the island is horseshoe shaped and the roads are small and speed limit is low.
