Half Moon Cay
Port Rating:
Half moon cay is carnival owned, so of course drinks are overpriced, food was average and it was crowded.. Excursions on an island the company owns with zero culture there seemed sad to me, nothing to really do you cant do in other places, nothing unique. Beach was crowded to the point of not being fun, also not quiet unless you walked forever to get away from the loud music and games being played.. Getting herded off the ship with zero organization was irritating.. The "bbq" was a continuation of average food.. The water was gorgeous though, sand was nice..

St. Thomas
City Tour Rating:
Great excursion.. Started going to megans beach which was absolutely breathtaking.. Stopped for a scenic pic or two along the way.. Drivers were crazy on the windy roads but was fun.. Went to blackbeards castle next.. Was fun, was able to sample alot of rum and see some historic sights while there.. Last was "downtown shopping" which was good, i would advise to explore some other than the pier shops by the ship, we found a store downtown with ship antiques which was amazing.. Caught a ferry ride back on a pirate ship and that was the day.. Overall fun day, gorgeous place

San Juan
Port Rating:
LOVED Old San Juan.. No need to book an excursion unless you want to see the rainforest, they dont tell you a free trolley will take you around the city.. Plan in advance... So the shops in old san juan are great the old fort was a great treat and the views are good too.. Great port just plan and explore, no need to waste the extra money on excusions here in my opinion.

Grand Turk
Port Rating:
Sad stop for us except for governors beach.. The only thing really on grand turk is the area that carnival has built up around the port (just ask any local).. I mean, carnival owns or rents out the "preferred shops" when you get off the boat and is very commericialized.. Seems just like an overpriced extension of an overpriced ship.. We took a cab to governors beach which was quiet and breathtakingly gorgeous.. Seashells, rocks, quiet.. It was amazing.. I would eat and bring drinks with you as the only shop there had very limited everything and was local.. We then went to the historic downtown area which was mainly a few places to eat as big as your onboard cabin and a few shops with hardly anything in them.. It was culture shock, i was expecting and hoping for more, i was saddened the fact that carnival basically built their own community on this island that isnt close to anywhere that would boost or help the local economy as a small trip away from the carnivalized area shows
