Took a public bus to the village and toured on our own.
Seaplane Rating:
Took the Alps & Harbour tour with Steve the owner/pilot . Great plane ride and smooth landing and take off. Took us above the harbour and city limits over the water and mountains , spotted mt goats and searched for other wildlife.
Great quick trip to Mendenhall without having to return to town to get to the whale watch.
Whale watching Rating:
Left around 8:30 am to Mendenhall arrived around 9 am..walked the trails, entry to visitor center and picked up at 10:30. Plenty of time to see all we needed to there.
Once at the pier for the boat tour we had a small group of 22 people with multiple humpback whale sightings. Great snacks and plenty of time on the water. Captain Larry , Jeff & Kelley where good too.
Mike was great..in a small van we had him to ourselves for 1-1/2 hours while we drove up to meet the train passengers. Lots of photo stops and wildlife spotting.
Lunch at Carcross was good, seeing the Iditarod puppies was very educational and the taxidermist exhibition was incredible.
We had our luggage waiting for us by tagged sections and very easy to spot. There was a clean bathroom and appreciated the chairs while we waited for our transportation/transfer to pick us up.
