Fantastic tour - great tour guide (Khan)the ships crew provided midway through the ruins tour cold drinks & frozen towels.
Very crowded also very hot time of year to do this - might be better in spring time. Was impossible to browse the town of Kusadasi without being pestered to buy something though.

Fantastic early morning sail in, a guide came aboard with the pilot and gave an on deck running commentary for almost an hour as we negotiated the harbour entrance which is like a Fiord, docked right by the town no more than 5 mins easy walk.
Unesco site lots to see & traditional market.
Some great shops & restaurants / bars & prices very good, not all places would take Euro's but several places would exchange to local currency.
Well worth an evening stroll into town when its cooler.
The Captain decided to take us on an accompanied trip up the hill to the fort!
Fantastic views.
The sail in to both Kotor and Venice were our cruise highlights!
Tender port, but landing direct to the old city walls - Unesco site but well worth the visit a walk round the ancient walls a must - there are a couple of bars part way round ! Fantastic views.
In the main few places take euros, but several stores have change bureus. Tickets for the walls can be paid by credit card.
There is a chair lift up to the hill overlooking the new & old town.
The star of the show! sailing into Venice was something we have wanted to do for a long time! A running commentary was provided over the PA system as we sailed into the lagoon, being a small vessel we moored alongside the ferry terminal in the Giudecca Canal rather than with the other cruise vessels in the docks round the corner.
It was about 15 mins easy walk to the Accedemia bridge another 10 to St Marks Sq.
We had allready booked a table in Aqualina for the Saturday, evening the icing on the cake was that we had dinner with a rooftop view across Venice!
