The most lovely and elegant of cities. Sitting on the waterfront watching the gorgeous Swedes pass by - what can beat it. The city is full of wonderful museums, country walks (yes in the city) and great shops. But expensive !
Very pretty historic town. Just about enough to fill in a short day of sightseeing - but no more. Charming and characterful and a nice way to spend some time.
This place is so full of history, museums, palaces and parks that your 2 or 3 day stay will only whet your appetite for more. The Hermitage alone would take a few days to do justice to and each of the palaces outside the city would benefit from a longer visit. One strictly for history and culture lovers.
Pleasant town to wander around but the main sights are relatively unexciting. Helsinki has a relatively provincial feeling and is without the gravity and deep history of Stockholm or Copenhagen. 1 day here is enough.
