The harbour area looks very ugly. Southampton is known as a classic cruiseport, but the harbour area is just an industrial area. Terminals are old-fashioned.
We expected Warnemunde just to be an industrial port. We were positively surprised when going ashore. It was a really nice cosy town with live music, nice shops and a great beach.
The best port of call we have ever been. Many interesting things too see. Peterhof and Catherine's palace were very very special. Waiting times in the Hermitage were long and it was crowded inside.
