We decided to just get off the ship and take a cab to the Atlantis, where I'd never been. The problem is you can't really get to see the Atlantis because they won't let you roam around outside unless you have a wrist band for some excursion that you paid for or a hotel room that you paid for. They let you walk around in the casino, or course, and in the shopping area. But not outside where the pools and the activities are.
Didn't get to go to the island because the tender was rocking so severely, that my wife almost got sick immediately and we got off. Hearing stories from the other people that went, it's a good thing we did. People throwing up. The crew had to literally help each and every person off some of the tenders for safety reasons. Two crew members were holding onto the gang plank which was separating from the ship. And another crew member had to walk people onto the gang plank. The side of the ship had big scrapes on it from the tenders crashing against it. It was quite a show to watch from the safety of my balcony. My wife would have been sick for the remainder of the trip.
