great experience...don't book through Carnival...they charge $129 per person...take a $20 taxi to the park direct and we paid $80 per person..overall savings was 50%.

If I could give this port a negative rating..i would do that. This is a slum, very poor, dirty, nothing to do, beaches are dirty. The only thing to do here is take a tour to the mayan ruins but that is a 2 hour drive one way. I can't beleive we were actually brought to this port...terrible and dirty...poverty at its worst.

Freeport
Glass Bottom Boat Rating: 2.0 out of 5+
long boat ride to the reef to see the fish..but the area we went was very murky because its near a channel and it was not worth the money.


Snorkeling Rating: 5.0 out of 5+
great boat, very stable, easy to get on/off, staff was great, reef was fantastic, lots of coral and fish. Only complaint was they had way too many boats visiting this reef...very crowded.

booked directly and saved a lot of money...short taxi ride, great sights, lots of exotic animals and birds...plant life/jungle was great...worth a trip...needs about 2 hours to enjoy.
