The Wine and Whale Evening Cruise was nothing to whine about. What a great evening, the crew were so friendly and as excited to see the whales as we were. I was closer to the whales in the wild than I've been at Sea World in San Diego. A brilliant excursion.
Dog Sledding on Medenhall Glacier by Helicopter.. This was a costly tour but worth every penny. My partner was initially reluctant to do the dog sledding portion but once we had flown over the mountains and glaciers to the Mushers camp she was able to see how excited the "Working Dogs" (not pets) were to be pulling the sled she had a complete change of opinion. A great excursion both fun and educational. A word of warning, take sun screen, we didn't and got sun burn. Sun glasses and overboots are supplied within the price of the excursion.
Misty Fjords By floatplane and boat.. This was a very expensive excursion but was cancelled. We didn't find out until we disembarked, having spent quite some time getting ourselves ready, quite annoying really. The weather I presume was to blame but honestly it wasn't so bad at all a very light rain quite fitting I would have thought for a tour with "Misty" in the title. The cruise line had refunded the full cost of the excursion before we disembarked in Vancouver two days later.
