Lots of fun and we saw Orcas and humpbacks. We had a great time. The office is right by the Mt Roberts tram so it is centrally located. We were given the option of downtown dropoff or back to the ship.
Last year we did the Duck tour and lumberjack show. This time we walked down Creek St, took the Funicular, and hiked the Married Mans Trail. The walking tour led us to the creek where we saw a few salmon struggling to get upstream. We stopped at the eagle and fish sanctuary, which I would say was somewhat of a ripoff. $30 to see a bald eagle, listen to a "guide" with poor grammar talk about the eagles for 10 mins and then stare at salmon for 20 mins was not too exciting. We went crazy and didn't get seafood (I'm allergic) so we went to a dive called Chico's. They had Mexican and Italian food. The food was fine but it was ghetto. I would still go again though. We didn't have much time in Ketchikan so this filled up our day.
We only had 5 1/2 hours there (6p-1130p) so we just walked downtown and came back after hanging out at the legislature building and docks for a while. Not too many excursions are available and we didn't want to do Butchart gardens. next time we will try the city tour.
