Unless you have disability issues, don't bother with shuttle buses or taxis into town; it's about a 10 minute walk. We had a slow wander around and finished with some wine on a beach-front restaurant. It looked fairly pricey but I have paid just as much in some European cities.
Absolutely chaotic travel-wise. We took one of the Bus Turistic open-topped double decker rides around the city. They cost 24Euros each and are a great way to see the city with hop-hop off facility. Unfortunately, the traffic in the southern half of the city was overwhelming and it took us over two hours to get to Los Stadio Camp Nou in the north. La Sagrada di Familia looked packed with people so we didn't get off to see it. If I went again, I would probably use my feet and the metro to get around quickly although you'd probably see less of this beautiful city's sights.
