The Tianamenm Square is impressive. Lots of people there. The rural Chinese may stare at you as you may be the first white people they have seen! Be careful about taking pictures of anyone in uniform. I wish The Forbidden City still was! Very long walk through-after the first bit of history I found it boring.

Take your guides advice on shopping as there are some very aggressive folks there-even worse than Rome!

Drink bottled water and take hand sanitizer. Also toilet paper!ALWAYS go in to a WESTERN toilet-you might fall in otherwise!

The Great Wall is magnificent! Go early as there are always crowds.Best buys on jade there!You can also get your picture taken as an Emperor/Empress!

Terra Cotta Warriors are awesome. It is so much more than can be seen in pictures. Go early and you will have much better access to the on going archaeological dig. This was the highlight of our excursions.
