The weather was a little overcast and windy. Thunderstorms in the afternoon. Our snorkeling trip was cancelled so we rebooked for Grand Turk. The beach and water was beautiful. The ship had a big lunch buffet on the island.
St. Thomas was a very nice island. The shopping is mostly jewelry and liquor. We took a ride with locals and they should us some of the sights and tried a Banana Daiquiri. We went to an exclusive beach and the water was crystal clear.
We had to wake up early for an 8am tour of the El Yunque rain forest and Old San Juan. The trip to the rain forest was 1 hour each was and seemed to take most of the time. The host was very good. We toured the old fort and had wonderful views of the old town and coast. The shopping was better than St. Thomas. Many good deals on clothing.
Grand Turk was our favorite port. It was beautiful and convenient. The ship docked at the pier and there was shopping right there. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant and large pool was very nice. We went on a great snorkeling adventure and saw nurse sharks! We went to a low key restaurant on the beach called Last City or something just down from Margaritaville. Had a great lunch of jerk chicken and fried conk. This was our favorite port!
