Paris is a good two hours away so we rented cars at the port (Rent-a-Car) and drove to the d-day sights.
Do it!
Driving in this part of France is easy. We had a gps and drove along the coast and had time to see four sights plus drive into Beyaux.
the drive is only about an hour to Omaha Beach. So easy, everyone on the boat was jealous they did not do that. Bus tours are nice but if you do a little research you can pull it off yourself. We took back roads to the sights and the main roads back to Le Harve.
