Budapest
Port Rating:
Budapest was great! Viking provided a guided tour via bus on the morning after we arrived. We toured the Heroes Square, then to the Royal Palace and St. Mattias Church and a stunning view overlooking the Danube River and the rest of the city! Then to the Parliament Building, which is awesome.
The ship was docked just under the Chain Bridge, which is lighted at night. The Chain Bridge, plus the other Budapest landmarks lit at night made everything really beautiful.
Bratislava, our second port (not listed in the port listings on this form) was also very nice, but not nearly as interesting to us as Budapest or Vienna. However, the tour arranged by Viking was quite nice, and there were many interesting sights to see. We also found a nice cafe for coffee and pastry after our tour.
Vienna was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the city, and the tour was quite nice. We found another nice pastry shop! We went on an optional excursion at night to see a performance of Mozart and Strauss, and thoroughly enjoyed that as well.
Additional stops were in Durnstein (just a village,) Melk (a small town) and Passau. We enjoyed each of these towns and the provided tours.

Prague
Port Rating:
Prague was great! The architecture was really interesting, although a number of buildings were, as our guide stated, "...awaiting restoration." We had three days here, with a bus tour of the city on our first morning in port, including the Prague Castle, the old (now pedestrian) bridge over the river in Old Town, and the square where the Easter Market was held. On our own we toured all around the Old Town area on foot, including the Jewish Quarter. I definitely want to go back here!
