We enjoyed Aruba. The people were warm and friendly and taxis and bus fare were inexpensive. We spent the day at a beach, then traveled back to the markets and downtown.
Because we arrived in Curacao so late, we were unable to take an excursion. We walked around the shopping area around the ship and downtown. Curacao is one of my favorite ports. It was quaint but not friendly. We were unable to go to the beach because it closed so early.
Nothing is close to the ship so we took a cab into "town". Town wasn't much and so we began walking back to the ship -- probably an 8 mile walk. We enjoyed the small beach near the ship the rest of the day. This was my least favorite port.
While many people found La Romana to be their least favorite port, we enjoyed it the most. We took a taxi with a group and went to the beach for the day. The beach was beautiful and quite peaceful.
