Two guides were very funny and knowledgeable. This is a good way to see the town and marina. I saw a lot of bald eagles. Cruise line charged too much though for all excursions they offered though, but at least they posted a sign acknowledging that the price of excursion tickets include a 20% or more commision that goes to Princess. Wal-Mart offers a free shuttle to the "world's second smallest Wal-Mart".
If the two days here were sunny, it may have been a 5. The cruise line should lower prices of excursions. Great views on a clear day from the top of the Mt. Roberts tram (took on a previous cruise).
A lot of shopping in Skagway, but not much else to do. The Alaska Tee Shirt Company (more than tee shirts) had a large selection of gifts, was well organized, and the prices were reasonable. Train tickets in Skagway are way too expensive. You can take the shuttle/van to the top of the summit, same place the train goes but on the other side of the river, for a lot less. The shuttle/van stops a couple of times for some nice picture taking (took on a previous cruise).
