We were there on 4th of July. Also being celebrated was 200th Anniversary of War of 1812. Super festive. We walked to Quincy Market and did our own Freedom Trail walk and to Boston Commons, etc. Super hot day, walked back to South Station and took the bus back to pier. City is small enough that you can walk to most attractions.
