This is our favorite port. There is excellent shopping right by the port. The attraction, Discover Paradise Point is within easy walking distance of where we docked. (The Oasis docked quite a distance away - close to the downtown area.) The Skyride or tramway takes you up the mountain for a paboramic view of Charlotte Amalie Horbor, $21. A "cab" ride into town is only $4 pp. We found excellent prices in the shops. This is the best island to make a major purchase.
This port should be Antigua but the site won't permit me to change the port's name. Antigua is a lovely island. We only did shopping here as we have visited previously.
This small island has beautiful beaches. We took a Scenic Coast to Coast Tour of the island and saw many beautiful white sandy beaches and panoramic vistas. The roads around the island are bumpy and windy. I recommend the tour.
We have been to this island many times so we didn't take an ecursion. Bay Street the shopping area in downtown is conveniently just a short distance away from where the ships dock and an easy walk. It, however is very congested with traffic.
