Very abject. Have to take a shuttle from the cruise ship just to get to any stores. Once there, the locals are literally begging you to buy something because they need the money. Not an enjoyable port for shopping.
There is a shopping center within walking distance from the ship but nothing special. Limited number of stores and mostly cheap touristy stuff offered. Not missing much if you decide to stay on the ship.
