The aquarium/tourist area is a 10-15 minute easy walk from where RCI docks. The cathedral and some other buildings are interesting, but the home of Christopher Columbus was disappointing. Nice town for a relaxing Sunday visit.
Our only tender port. We walked to the film center in about 15+ minutes and took pictures with our hands in the hand prints of some of the stars. After a quick drink 2 of us relaxed on the beach (kind of rocky) while the rest of our group took a short local tour for 7 Euros each.
We took a cab to the beach at Palma Nova for 17.5 Euros each way, rented beach chairs and an umbrella (4 chairs and an umbrella cost 13.5 Euros); beach was nice and sandy with rinse showers and pay toilets available. Lots of bars and restaurants across the street, but we chose to buy drinks and sandwiches from a local shop. After touring Rome and Barcelona a day at the beach was just what we needed.
