This is an attractive port with traditional wooden buildings.We were slightly at a disadvantage as we arrived on a Sunday,when the market and some of the shops were closed.
Flam is a beautiful little place,in a lovely setting.There is a small,interesting free museum near the station.We took an excursion on the Flam railway,which is an exceptional train ride up the valley.This is well worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment.There is a stop for photographs at a fatastic waterfall.
We loved Bergen,very busy with tourists,but nice atmosphere.Fantastic wooden buildings with unusual shops.Funicular railway looked worth a trip,but long queues.Feel we would like to return to see more of Bergen.
