Wonderful tour guide and beautiful sights. The winery is situated in a great location, though the wine wasn't very good. Oia should not be missed, though during our morning tour many of the shops were still closed.
Not many ships frequent Chania (Souda) Crete, and at first I was disappointed because I wanted to go to Knossos which is about 5 hours away (near Heraklion). But the Old Town is quite pretty, especially near the Venetian harbor. The beaches near here were also scenic and charming.
Really liked that the medieval walled Old Town was just five minutes from the dock. It's fun to explore the alleys and get "lost" outside the main tourist area in the center.
Did not really explore the town, but the area right by the port is modern and has many familiar stores including Lacoste and Starbucks. It was actually a nice place to hang out.
There was nothing at the port where the ship docked, and we were charge $10 for a round trip shuttle to Mykonos town. You can take the public bus, but they don't run that often and would be overcrowded by thousands of people getting off the ship, so you're kind of stuck. The island itself is really pleasant and the beaches are great. If you want a more relaxed beach, go out to Elia. Super Paradise is basically a small beach with a bar and restaurant. Mykonos town is a nice place to wander around and explore the narrow streets, though it doesn't really come alive until the late afternoon, evening.
The area right by the port is basically a small mall and has some shops and food outlets. There's decent wifi that is typically free if you make a purchase at one of the cafes or gelateria.
