I personally do not like Puerto Villarta. Its too humid and the downtown area is dirty. The beach did not impress me at all. BUT, we did find a great tour guide named Jose who took us to the jungle. The kids really enjoyed the waterfalls. If we didn't do that, I would have just stayed on the ship.
