It was Monday so all the museums were closed. Did a lot of walking. Pisa, street slime pushing counterfeit watches and sun glasses very aggressive. Government needs to clean up their street slime rather than threaten tourists. Pisa, once inside the old town where the tower is small area lots of people. Lunch was provided as part of the tour and was pretty good.
Monaco is small enough we walked the areas we wanted to see with just a guide book. I guess if you wanted to travel to France then maybe an excursion would have been worthwhile. The part of town with the royal castle was only a 20 minute stroll from the ship. There were elevators, but by taking the stairs we got to see their public garden.
Most of the Philippines is cleaner than Tunis. Could have spent more time at Roman and Phoenician sites. This was the only tour that stopped at the WWII American Cemetery. For what we saw and did it wasn't worth just for the stop at the cemetery.
Got only a drive by tour of Palermo, no photo stops. Most of the time was traveling to and from Monreale. By this time into the cruise one church pretty much looked like another.
Because of union issues in Pompeii we were given an additional driving tour of Naples to burn some time prior to their opening. Be prepared for crowds at Pompeii. Very interesting history. Was very hot that day and had planned to walk Naples when tour was over, but just returned to the ship. This was one of those four hour excursions where they could have offered afternoon tours as well.
