Puerto Vallarta, once a sleepy little village (1991), undergone some major changes. Highrises are everywhere.

The beachfront in the old section of town has been reworked to provide a broad area where walking is a pleasure (be sure to stop and enjoy the sand sculputers on the beach).

The port area is clean and well-maintained. Shopping is available right in the port area
