I loved Barcelona. I did not have high expectations, but really enjoyed all there was to do in the city. We spent an extra night on each end of the cruise, so I am glad we had time to explore.
We took the ship's excursion to Pompeii since it was only half a day. We went on a cooler day which was overcast and Pompeii was still hot. Bring your water, hat, and sunscreen. There is not a lot of shade. We did not spend any time in the city of Naples. We were just too tired. Naples is really beautiful from the ship. I did not expect that.
