Hired a taxi for the first half of the day and toured up and down the coast. In the afternoon we went to the Lumberjack show which was very entertaining.
Rented a car for the day from RentAWreck. (Take a taxi to their "downtown" location). You can walk but it is a good walk. Went on a 3 hour fishing trip we independently booked. Spent about 3 hours at the Mendehall Glacier. Those who went on excursions said they didn't feel they had adequate time to see the Glacier. And spent the evening in town shopping.
Rented a car from Avis (Get there early and stand at the door to get it - don't sit in front of the building!). Drove to Carcross, YK and enjoyed a great day seeing the mountains and wildlife (including several bears).
