Both the canal cruise and city tour would have been better if the city was not being dug up to install a new Metro system. The weather was perfect.

Moored just outside the old town. THe old town is great, and a visit to the town hall (home of Nobel prize ceremony) great. The jewel in the crown is a visit to the Vasa, a restored sunken sailing ship.

Charming port town with an excellent seaside promenade. Trains to Rostock are cheap and frequent (but Rostock is closed and 'dead' on Sundays).
