Trolley Tour of Ketchikan. Okay for the price, nice tour guide, but nothing we couldn't see on our own.

We did the Helicopter/Glacier Trekking Tour. This was our FAVORITE!! Great guides, amazing scenery, good information provided, and professional pilots.


Whale watching Rating: 4.0 out of 5+
We took the whale watching photo safari. It was a bit lengthy, and not a lot of photography info was given. Actually since it's so difficult to photograph whales, I'm not sure this is a good combo.

However, the guide was great, and the whales/scenery we saw were fantastic.

White Pass Scenic Railway Rating: 3.0 out of 5+
Since Dog Sledding was cancelled, this was a second choice. It was okay and good information about the gold rush was given.

We chose to take the Alaska Cruise Tour Bus company to get to Anchorage for our flight. We did the 3 hour ride and booked it on our own. It wasn't worth it. The Wildlife Park they took us to had sad, broken down, old pathetic animals: no the kind you think of when you read that you will see Bear, Moose and Eagles.
