We went to Labadee, Haiti the 3rd day, beautiful, clean and very organized. We did a kayak tour (booked with RC online) then had a buffet lunch on the beach. RC leases the beach and permits one member of every household to sell their goods at the market there. They can be very insistent but always polite and ready to bargain so don't ever pay full price! We got a nice Haitian mask for $10. The beach was beautiful, very calm and clear..we all got sunburns!
In Jamaica the next day, we did the Green Grotto caves and Dunn's River Falls (booked with RC online)and it was well organized and we had so much fun climbing the falls! We also bought the video at the end for $40 and the tour guides took pics of us all the way. Well worth it!
Our second excursion was also booked with RC, the Swim, push, pull Dolphin and Manatee encounter at the Chakanaab park. It was only 10 min from the port and well worth it! It was the same price as the sea trek but so much better!! The only thing we wish we had known is that they had Sea Trek and Snuba at that same park! I recommend spending the day there, doing one or two excursions there, then you can visit the park, see some lizards and other animals and swim or snorkel at the huge beach! We even got to see a sea lion show that left us in awe.
Helmet dive Rating:
Then in Cozumel we had booked a Sea Trek adventure with RC. It was 5 min from the port and the whole thing lasted 20 min. The helmet is very heavy, you can't look up or down and you can' t see your footing so you have to be careful and hold on to the guide rope. They let us touch some sea creatures which was cool but we didn't get to feed the fish like we thought they mentioned. Then they tried to sell us the pics and video for $95. They didn't even try to give us a deal and so we left empty handed, and they lost a sale. I would have preferred doing Snuba!
