Opted for an escorted tour for 250 Nr Kr UK£27.00 or USD $42 taking in the city sites plus including entrance into 2 museums - tour lasted 3 hours. Spent morning in City Centre - 5 minute walk from berth, and picked up tour at City Hall - dominates the water front.

Excellent value for money, visited the Viking and Kontiki Museums.

Also visited Stavanger - Good local transport, small independent shops.

Kristiansand - OK - too many Rumanian Beggars - I kid you not even in Norway.

Ulvik - Head of Hardanger Fjord - excellent - went for a 2 hour walk - local tourist office supplied route, visited Cider Farm - brilliant.
