We spent the day at Oyster Bay Beach where we all enjoyed ourselves. The weather was overcast so not ideal for this review but the amenities were fine, the food was good and reasonably priced and the water was perfect!
Although it rained on and off, it was a terrific day with a great tour guide and wonderful scenery both on the way and walking up the trail. This is not for those who have difficulty walking or hiking, it's not difficult at all but you need to be agile enough to walk about an hour in a slippery jungle.
We've been to Grenada many times, it's one of those stops on almost every itinerary we've taken. It's a nice island but you really need to go on an excursion and preferably with the cruise line since the islanders are very pushy trying to sell you everything from goods to excursions but a firm "no thanks" does the trick but if you buy just one thing you open the door to all the vendors so don't buy until you know what you want and are going back onto the ship! We spent the day on the Mome Rouge beach, very nice, one restaurant but fine with good food.
We walked to the Plaza Beach Resort to rent snorkeling equipment, the kids were absolutely overjoyed by what they saw, jumping out of the water to get us to join them faster. People are nice, the atmosphere relaxing, would like to spend a week!
Comfortable bus, many stops and enough time to visit each venue appropriately. The tour included the Aloe Balm facility, the Butterfly Farm, the Natural Bridge and various other points of interest, all well worthwhile.
