Embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. Because of these scheduled arrival times, the terminal never felt too busy, and we waited in line no more than 2 minutes to board the ship ~1:30. Because we took the official Disney Cruise Line bus from WDW to Port Canaveral we missed our scheduled boarding time (which I selected without knowing the bus pickup/arrival time), but it was a non-issue for us, as by then it was open boarding.
The water and snorkeling are beautiful, but the actual area immediately around the port is extremely slimy and touristy in a bad way. We did not hang around this and did not want to... the people working in the shops were very unfriendly and several people complained about how aggressive shop keepers were because we were the only ship in port that day. St. Maarten overwhelmingly had the most beautiful water and beaches, but we actually went to the French side (St. Martin) for our snorkeling.
