The Hop-on-Hop-Off Trolley was a nice way to view Waikiki, but it took us a while to find it. The ship's excursion desk had no information about where to locate them on the pier, and there was nothing printed on the excursion ticket. It would be nice if the Trolley ran later, with the longer days -- they only run until shortly after 5pm. As it was, we barely had time to see Diamond Head, and make the last trolley connection back to the ship.
Tendering was a nightmare! We took a cab to Kaanapali Beach, but couldn't find anyone to rent beach chairs or umbrellas from. The hotels along that beach need to take a lesson from the Caribbean resort hotels and offer day-pass services. We had a nice lunch and did a little shopping before returning to the ship.
Great tour -- small group (6) and a great tour guide (co-owner of the business). Despite the short port day and the intermittent rain, we managed to see a lot of the island -- would definitely recommend this private tour operator to others!
