We took the $5 per person shuttle to Cocoa Beach/Alan Shepard Beach. Rented 4 lounge chairs for $30 and enjoyed the sun and water. Walked to Ron Jon's to shop and buy some waters. Had a late lunch at The Sandbar and had great fish tacos and Hurricanes.
Our excursions were canceled due to high winds. The tenders over were a little scary, but once there it was a nice beach day. The lunch buffet was just enough variety without going overboard. We loved having the music and little vendors nearby.
My husband and daughter went on the Sea and See excurion and both really enjoyed it. They took a smaller boat to the Explorer and saw some celebrity homes, and sea life (including lots of fish, sea turtles and a shark) They skipped the driving part because of time constraints (they had run late getting started and had to meet me for lunch nearby) I did a walking tour of the town that I found on Frommers. We had a snack and drinks at Senor Frog's, good food and drinks and pricey!
