Guide did not have a particularly good knowledge of the English language and it was difficult to have to listen to her as she appeared to prattle on. It was May day and all the shops were shut. Although on board the Boudicca we were advised that the shops opened at 9.00 am - lack of knowledge on the part of the tour staff.
Excellent port - greeted by an absolutely amazing Newfoundland Dog. Took taxi tour around the city and just loved going up Signal Hill where Marconi sent his first wireless message from England. Also saw the reanactment army.
