We enjoyed walking around Santa Cruz de Tenerife. We appreciated having a shuttle bus from the ship to the port gate since it was a long way to walk. We particularly enjoyed seeing the remains of the Castillo de San Cristobal under the Plaza de Espana in the center of town. Lots of very interesting historical information along with the ruins of the old castle walls.
We took the Barcelona City Tours hop on, hop off bus for two days. By doing this, we saw all of the major sights. We also walked all over the city and enjoyed our four days there very much. We had been warned about pickpockets, so left all of our valuables in the hotel safe and used money belts under our clothes for the small amount of cash we took with us each day.
