The port for Rome was Citavecchia which in itself is more of a working town with a nice promenade and cafe bars in which to relax. Most people seem to visit Rome from this port.
Palma is one of our favourite ports which encompasses both lovely marinas and some fine buildings, shops and a lovely Cathedral. There are also some good excurions that can be taken from here.
