We have been to Bergen before and have seen most of the things of note. It is very clean and the Norweigens are very friendly. We took a wrong turn when we got off the ship and realised we were lost. A very kind lady at a bus stop took us on the bus to were we needed to be, she also changed some money for us as we did not have any Krona.
The setting for Bergen amongst the mountains is very beautiful. It is however, very expensive to eat, drink, or shop. Be prepared to spend a lot more than in England.
Flam is a very pretty little village situated amongst the Fjords and Mountains. It is from here you can catch the train up in to the mountains to a little place called Myrdal. If you take the excursion you change trains here and it takes you to Voss. We preferred to make our own way and came back down on the same train. The views are spectacular on the way up and Myrdal is 2700 feet above sea level.
There is an interesting museum by the railway station which tells the story of the building of the railway.
