Our day in Hamburg was a Sunday. It was also the day of the Hamburg Marathon (this really didn't cause any problems although some roads were closed and therefore the shuttle bus took longer than usual).
Basically Hamburg was closed. Sadly the weather was fairly average and the whole place felt rather dead.
Stayed on the ship as apparently on Mayday all the shops are closed and disruption can be caused by the many parades which take place (political not pleasure).
