Great city. Spent most of the time in the gothic quarter just wondering around checking out all the medieval and Roman buidlings. Check out the impressive ugliness of La Sagrada Familia, See a game at Camp Nou, dodge pick pockets on La Ramblas. Would have been the best port we visited if we hadnt started cruise here.
Took Le Petit Train up to the Basillica, worth every cent of 7 Euros...especially the panoramic views over Marseille. Lots of contruction work going on at the moment due to cultural festivities coming up.
Should have stayed on the boat. Guide couldnt speak English, rained the whole time, massive shanty towns on the way to Pompeii, most of Pompeii is roped off so you can only see from a distance.
