Good shopping, nice port but the beaches are very rocky and you stand the risk of cuts and bruises. We simply do some shopping and get our curacao liqueur
First time there - took a tour inland along some very bumpy roads - the island reminded us of Dominica. The crater lake is a small pond but the monkeys are a blast. Bought tons of vanilla and all the fresh spices.
OK beaches but been there and done that. If the first time we recommend the land sea all day sight seeing. Some beaches are very nice with the black sand an all.
Love Barbados- we did a day pass at the Hilton and had a nice lunch and drink included in the fee. Cushion chairs and umbrellas provided. The beaches are a wow wow wow. Water is pristine!!!!!!!
Did a the milk beach - had some local beverages, took some shade under the mango trees, and had a great time in the water. Cost to and from is 16$ pp by taxi.
By the way we enjoyed the many hummingbirds in the mangros while sipping a pina colada
Mostly do shopping but when we want to beach we go to Sapphire on St T. or over to St Johns via a taxi to Red Hook. Or, eat and drink at Senor Frogs at dock side and use their swimming pool
