It's always the Boatyard Beach for us. We enjoy it so much we wouldn't even think of going to any other beach. From the outside of the complex you wouldn't know how nice it is.
Nice ride to the beach by boat. Very clean and pretty but more like a beach club than the other beaches. We would probably do it again as Curacao isn't famous for their beaches. All the sand is brought in from Aruba.
We had initially wanted to go to Megan's Bay but there were about 15,000 passengers from different cruise ships in port and the taxi driver advised against it. We went to Sapphire Bay instead and were extremely glad we did. WE got there early and had the place to ourselves for a couple of hours until it started to fill up and we left. We did get about 4 hours in of quality beach time. I think it's every bit as pretty as Megan's Bay.
We saved some money by walking to the beach at Phillipsburg. We got there early and found good seats up front near the water. After a while it did get crowded and we walked back to the ship. Years ago it was a dangerous walk but they've put in a nice prominade so we enjoyed getting the exercise. All the huge ships were in port that day as several medium ships.
It was Grand Anse again for us, the fourth time there. It was nice but we definitely are ready for a change. It's a pretty beach but we always get the feeling we are getting ripped off. They quote a price then double it and also quote a price for the sun chairs and charge more for an umbrella. It cost us about $52 for a few hours. We will do some research for next March.
We were all worn out the day we docked is Castries (right next to Port Serraphine) and didn't go anywhere. We've seen the island several times and it is one of the prettiest but we decided to rest that day. Next year we hope to go to Pigeon's Island.
