We did our own thing and found it easy to get around. The information desk at the Cruse terminal were very helpful and gave us some good tips. The cable car trip is OK for orientating you but is overpriced for what is basically 3 stops with not very much to do at each place! There is a very good and cheap underground train service when is easy to use, with officials helping tourists to use the ticket machines and give you directions. English widely spoken.
Very good tour. A huge amount to see. Unfortunately we were late berthing so the tour was a little rushed to fit everything in, but the guide was very good and gave us a lot of information on the city.
