If you want a lovely sandy beach with warm waters we would strongly recommend Paynes Beach, a short taxi ride from the Port Terminal. Previously a group of us have taken a private taxi for a tour of the island which was most enjoyable.
We took a snorkeling trip, although we have seen more fish in other places the trip was very enjoyable, a good boat ride with two different snorkeling sites, to be recommended.
