Bonaire is tremendous for snorkeling and scuba diving. A much do for those able and interested. Some interesting sites, but basically a quiet island with small population. We loved it because we went snorkeling. We also took a taxi tour around the island and saw sea salt areas, slave huts, and a few flamingos. We also saw site of international windsurfing and watched some champions.
I am afraid that it poured while we were there, and that affected our enjoyment. However, it was fun walking over the pedestrian bridge and going into town. There was plenty of shopping and old buildings. The port area is next to an old fort that has been turned into restaurants and shops. It is a very attractive area. At night, the buildings are lit up and it is a magical scene.
